I had a quick search for "how to act dead" and I found mostly sarcastic videos and websites, but looking further I found some useful information regarding how to make someone appear dead, both with editing, and acting. In summery I found that I should not use too long a shot, and also take slow shallow breaths, and do not try to hold it.
